More on CW Zouave Styles

This is a drawing from Godey's Lady's Book. This is a Zouave style from 1859. I am sorry that it is a little bit blurry, but at least you can see the major outline.

Civil War Era Ladies

This is a drawing of several ladies dressed in the characteristic Zouave style that was typical of the 1850-60s. Apparently, this is from 1854, because if you look at the bottom left corner of the drawing, you will see, in tiny script that it says 1854. Of course, this is more fantasy than reality (especially if you look at the ladies' waists) , but to me this is very beautiful! Click on the heading of this, and you will go to the neatest page. That is where I got this picture.

A Honey Bee

~ A honey bee pollonating a flower~
Grains of pollen sticking to this bee will be transferred to the next flower, thus pollonating it. Birds and bees are common pollonators. Some times even bats and flies can be pollonators if the scent of the flower appeals to them. Some flower give out the smell that represents rotten meat, flies come, and they get pollen on their fur. Then they go to the next flower taking pollen with them and becoming pollenators. God certainly designed our world well!!

Stargazer Lily

~Stargazer Lily~

This is a stargazer lily. This is my older brother's favorite flower. I think that it is mine too. Isn't it beautiful!!
