Washington D.C.
I haven't at all shown any pictures from Washingon. ... Here are some pictures.
One of the days we were there was September eleventh. As you can see, the flag was at half staff.
On our way to Washington D.C., we traveled through Sharpsburg (Antietam Battlefield), and I saw this cannon ball lodged in the side of a building. It was amazing!
There is also a view from across the tidal basin of the Jefferson Memorial.
While we were at Arlington at the Kennedy's grave, we saw Marine One (or a look-alike) fly over. That was neat!

This is an interesting photograph of General Custard ( I am not sure how to spell his name) and his wife. Her dress is really pretty!

Dear experienced bloggers, give me some feedback!
For all of you who are experienced at blogging, please comment and tell me how I am doing. I would love to know. It would really make my day to get a comment! Thanks.

1840 thru 1860 in Fashion

This is a drawing of several people representing both men and women in the 1850s.
Just for your info. Click on the image to make it larger. Then it won't be blurry.
Here is a neat link. Also click on the title of this article, and that will take you to another neat site http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1860s_in_fashion .
